The London Hippodrome recently laid out the red carpet for the prestigious BEFFTA Awards.
BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, and Arts) held its 4th annual awards ceremony at the Hippodrome in recognition of the achievements of personalities such as Sir Trevor McDonald; who won the Lifetime Achievement Award and received a standing ovation from the audience of 3,000 people.
As the first of its kind, BEFFTA acknowledges the contributions and outstanding achievements of those from Caribbean, African and Asian backgrounds all over the globe in Africa, Canada, UK, USA and the Caribbean.
The very best of showbiz and entertainment personalities such as Lemar of X Factor fame, footballer Fabrice Muamba, and singer Starboy Nathan, amongst many others, graced the prestigious black tie and glamour event to celebrate the accomplishments of talented individuals. The event also provided a platform for unsung talent to be recognised, and was an opportunity for all to network.
